First, try some preliminary troubleshooting methods like:ġ) If the PC is not recognizing controller, then it is likely because you have connected the controller on the USB 3.0 port of your computer. It can happen due to many reasons and we will get into it one by one. If your gamepad is not working, then the most likely your PC is not recognizing your controller. Fixing The Game Controller Not Working On PC Issue I didnt see any way to do this in matrix. We have shown a VIDEO walk through at the end of the post for easy solution. Rocketchat just recommends deleting entire channels to deal with growing server space and starting channels from scratch. People now just expect the functionality of discord like image/video embedding and ease of use.Įdit: My biggest complaint about all of them is theres no built in method in any of them to auto expire old messages. I've recently been thinking about xmpp or mumble but haven't looked into that yet. Essentially just think of all your discord channels listed all together instead of separated by server. Like others said its just a list of rooms you join regardless of instance. Essentially you could think of each matrix instance as it's own server in a way. Matrix doesn't have servers the same way discord does. I can see where some of these other comments are coming from. If any of you have any feedback for dealing with that please let me know. I met some resistance when I brought this up in the matrix help channel since my intended use for it was different than their vision. I guess I'm just paranoid about people sharing illegal things since it's so open. From the testing I've done anyone who registers on my server can create any amount of rogue rooms without being listed in the main directory. I understand it's supposed to be open and federated but at the end of the day I'm responsible for the server. I really want to like matrix but as an instance admin I feel helpless running a server. I'm not entirely sure how it would hold up with the number of discord servers I'm in.įinally for matrix. I'm currently in the official Rocketchat server and another private server with about 200 people. The desktop application has an option to reload the program and I have to use that a few times a day to get things back to normal. I really like rocketchat but it has its quirks in the UI and it lags a bit. Apparently according to mattermost the team edition is meant for trusted members but even in that environment I would expect there to be some safeguards. I was surprised when I was testing and noticed team members could delete public channels. There were too many options that are not enabled in the team edition. Every so often I switch between matrix, mattermost, and rocketchat.įor a while I was really considering mattermost but there were some huge drawbacks right when I was about to implement it within a community.
